With the current period of Global economic insecurity it has become very important to have work experience before to go to a B school. MBA recruiters have a soft corner for those students who already have experience.

Work experience makes it easy for a student to better understand the course being taught. Practical knowledge makes them relate to the theory being taught in the class. Most recruiters also look for a well rounded students, those who have practical knowledge will also have a thorough understanding of the theory.
Also, it is the basic criteria to join top B schools. Apart from a good GMAT score most universities demand a work experience for at least 2 years.
