The admission timelines for MBA in US universities is different when compared to masters program. In Masters program students can apply for Fall, Spring and Summer intakes where as for MBA program they need to apply in different rounds. Typically universities offer admissions in three rounds: Round1, Round2, Round3. For each round they will also have decision date where the admission results are announced.
- Round 1 deadline typically fall in first two weeks of October
- Round 2 deadline fall in end of December or starting of January
- Round 3 deadline fall in March/April
The MBA application process is quite different and difficult as students need to write different set of essays for different universities. Students are requested to apply for round 1 as they will have higher probability of getting admission and also financial aid. The process of applying universities need to be started well ahead so that they are ready with all the essays, letter of recommendation, and statement of purpose.
